Music and sound have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My love for electronic music and growing up near Seattle exposed me to all sorts of music, and over the years, my fascination with sound has only deepened as I started to explore DJing in college. As a former high school and college basketball athlete, I’ve always been interested in the science of the body and health, which led me to pursue a career in nursing. I earned a bachelor’s degree in public health from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, and later completed my BSN at Duke University.

Before finding yoga, I was a competitive CrossFit athlete. But when I met my wife, Allie, I was strongly encouraged (forced) to attend her yoga classes. What started as a reluctant experience quickly turned into a realization that yoga and meditation were the missing links I had been searching for. As my strength, mobility, and overall well-being improved, I transitioned to practicing yoga exclusively for both physical and mental health. Through this journey, I became an avid meditator—an experience that was nothing short of life-changing.

My deep dive into meditation naturally led me to the transformative power of sound. After experiencing my first sound meditation in Asheville with Billy Zanski of Skinny Beats Sound Shop, I was mesmerized by the power of gongs and how ambient music could shift energy and consciousness. Later in meditation I received confirmation that creating my own ambient soundscapes was something worth exploring and sharing with others.

Now, as a sound practitioner, I blend my love for electronic music with ancient healing instruments, creating unique and transcendental sound experiences. My sessions feature gongs (my absolute favorite), synthesizers, native flutes, guitar, the didgeridoo, and other powerful instruments to elevate the collective vibration of those who experience them.

I’ve been fortunate to study under incredible mentors, including Billy Zanski, who introduced me to the world of sound healing and the didgeridoo, and Mike Tamburo, one of the most renowned gong players in the country. Additionally, I’ve worked one-on-one with Colin Allured, an incredible musician here in Winston-Salem, to dive into music theory, the guitar, and explore ancient vocalization techniques.

Through sound, I’ve found my true passion—helping others shift their energy, expand their consciousness, and experience deep relaxation and healing. I invite you to join me in this journey, immerse yourself in the frequencies, and feel the profound effects of sound.
