200-HOUR YOGA
TEACHER TRAINING
This is not a fast, factory-style YTT.
This is an intimate, 8-month journey into the heart of yoga—perfect for those who want to teach, deepen their practice, or simply transform their life.
Meeting one weekend per month, vyb studio’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training blends hybrid learning with in-person immersions. You’ll explore the full spectrum of yoga—from philosophy, anatomy, and sequencing to hands-on assists, Ayurveda, and teaching labs—all in a small group where your questions are heard and your growth is mentored closely.
From weekend one, you’ll step into practice teaching exercises designed to help you gently overcome fears, grow as a leader, and discover your unique voice on the mat. Guided by Allie Labate, a senior teacher with over 10 years of full-time teaching experience, this training is intentionally paced, giving you time to integrate, absorb, and embody the material fully.
You’ll leave with real teaching skills, a deep understanding of yoga, and a stronger connection to your body, mind, and spirit—confident, grounded, and ready to guide others, or simply to step more fully into your own practice.

Frequently Asked Questions
No — and here’s why.
Yoga Alliance (YA) is not a certifying body. Registration with YA simply allows a teacher or training program to pay a fee to be listed in their directory. That’s all. It does not guarantee quality, integrity, or ethical teaching. Over the years, we’ve learned that a teacher’s skill, a program’s depth, and the transformative power of training cannot be measured by a logo or registration status. Registration alone does not make a training good — nor does the absence of it make one bad. What truly matters is the heart, integrity, and depth of the teaching.
For vyb studio, registering with YA would limit our ability to evolve and adapt our program to the needs of our students. We value flexibility, growth, and meeting students where they are over adhering to rigid standards that may not serve them. This freedom also allows us to offer a deeper, more comprehensive training — something many YA-affiliated programs simply cannot provide.
In my experience — as a yoga teacher, school owner, and lifelong student of yoga — no one has ever asked if I’m registered with YA. That’s because quality speaks louder than a certification. I choose to offer a training rooted in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and the Vedic Sciences — weaving together Yoga, Ayurveda, and the living wisdom I’ve gathered from my teachers and my own practice over the years. This is what I believe serves students best.
Yes! Upon completion of the program, you will become a Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT). We will issue you a 200 hour Certified Yoga Teacher certificate and letter of completion. You will be able to start teaching yoga at yoga studios, fitness centers, etc.
We are a Vinyasa-based school inspired by the teachings and methodologies of Asthanga Vinyasa Yoga, Power Yoga, and Rocket Yoga.
We focus on a method that balances precise instruction, detailed alignment, breath, and fluid movement. Classes can be either moderately or vigorously paced and are carefully themed to deepen the students’ experience of Yoga. A flow of Sun Salutations and postures is skillfully sequenced, and modifications and props are used to individualize the practice for each student.
During your yoga instructor certification course, you will study how to:
- Perform poses in a safe and intelligent way (Asana)
- Use modifications, variations, advancements, and props to maintain alignment
- Design dynamic, effective, and intelligent sequences for all levels
- Teach and sequence a power yoga class
- Teach and sequence a deep stretch yoga class
- Work with different kinds of bodies and students
- Observe bodies in practice
- Work with injuries, pregnancies, and limitations
- Practice teaching
- Implement Pranayama, or breathing techniques
- How to practice and teach Meditation
- Translate some Sanskrit
- Be successful as a teacher and business owner
To get the most from this journey, full attendance at every training weekend is required for graduation. Absences planned in advanced will be excused, but you will be required to make-up assignments in order to graduate from the program.
Trainees are also required to practice at vyb studio a minimum of 2 times per week. This is how you’ll embody the teachings, sharpen your skills, and step into the role of an exceptional teacher—because you truly get out what you put in.
We know that emergencies do arise and life can get crazy sometimes. Make-up work will be required. If you need one-on-one assistance from the lead teacher due to an absence, Allie can meet with you for an additional fee of $65 per hour.
Absolutely! Regardless of your desire to teach public classes, yoga teacher training is a great avenue to deepen your knowledge and practice. Generally, only a handful of students go on to teach public classes, but learning the skills required to teach is a transformative experience for all participants!
Each teacher Teacher Training program reflects the unique style of its studio and lead instructors. If you connect with the community, practice, and teachings at vyb studio, this program is the perfect fit for you!
If you haven’t taken a class with us yet, we encourage you to join one with Allie Labate, the lead teacher of our Yoga Teacher Training Program and owner of vyb studio.
We’re happy to answer any questions you may have, so feel free to schedule a time to chat with us! You can email Allie here: allie@vyb-studio.com
Throughout the training, we will read and use several texts (around 5 books) to support your learning and growth. These texts range in price from $3 each to $25. All books can be purchased new or used on Amazon or at any other major book retailer.
As we get closer to the start of training, you will be emailed your syllabus and required reading list.

Owner of vyb studio
My teachings honor the full depth of yoga—from the physical to the subtle. I blend challenging, intentional movement with breath awareness, energetic awareness, and yogic philosophy. Outside the studio, I’m immersed in daily study and practice, focusing on pranayama, meditation, and internal cultivation. I’m currently studying Nei Gong, a Daoist practice, with world renowned teacher Damo Mitchell, and Meditation and Kriya Yoga through the Self-Realization Fellowship founded by Paramahansa Yogananda.
My formal training is in Ashtanga, Power Yoga, Meditation, and Rocket Yoga, and I’ve had the privilege of learning from teachers who deeply understand both the physical body and the eight-limbed path. Their wisdom continues to shape my own practice and teaching, and I’m forever grateful for their guidance. I also hold a certification as a Chopra Health™ Ayurveda Teacher and weave Ayurvedic wisdom into how I live, move, and teach.
At the heart of it all, I teach because yoga continues to change my life—and I believe it can change yours, too. Whether you’re here to build strength, seek stillness, or learn how to share yoga with others, you’ll find that the deeper you go, the more the practice becomes not just something you do—but who you are.
